Inspired by John Larmer's Blog in Edutopia, titled: Start the Year With a Project...or Wait?, our 5th grade teachers decided to... Start the Year With a Project.
Using his suggestions, they introduced one of each of the 4C's through hands on collaborative activities each day.
The foundation they built during the second week of school will grow as students embark on a yet to be determined service learning project. This ties into the Bluebonnet Book they are reading: Laugh with the Moon, by Shana Burg
Day 1: Critical Thinking
