Valley View Cardinals hit the ground running as they returned to campus this week! Students met new teachers, hugged old friends, learned new rules, and settled in to routines. Throughout the campus, classrooms were filled with books, new school supplies, and even new iPads! Learners in grades 3 - 5 met with Ms. Moore and enrolled their new iPads, and students in grades 1 - 2 received pre-enrolled iPads (Kindergarten will see their new iPads tucked inside docking stations next week). These brand new iPads will soon be filled with apps from our new Eanes app store, Self Service. We all look forward to learning with these new tools!
Amidst all the excitement of a new school year, new supplies, and new friends, Valley View kindergarteners participated in an old tradition: searching for the missing gingerbread man! As they searched for the elusive creature, they learned more about important locations around the school, such as the library, the nurse's office, and the front office. In each location, they found clues left by that crafty gingerbread man. Then suddenly, much to everyone's surprise, the kindergarteners and teachers actually FOUND HIM! Special thanks to head custodian, Mr. John, who happened to know exactly where that gingerbread man was hiding.
Happy week to all, and we look forward to sharing our Cardinal Community happenings throughout the year!
