Each teacher had their docking station labeled with the class number of each student, an organization and management plan for ear buds, and hand sanitizer by the iPads.
First we showed the students a video made with Red the Cardinal, school mascot, about how to SOAR with their iPads.

Then we reviewed the iPad contract that each student and their parents signed and returned to their teacher.
We passed out the iPads and taught the students how to enable and use the floating home button.

Then we let the students go through the Google Earth Gesture tutorial and explore with Google Earth.
Tomorrow's session will cover personalizing their iPads with their photo, name and student number as wallpaper, and working with QR codes.
